In the centre of unspoilt rural France between Loire Valley and Limousin, the house is within 5 mins walking distance of boulangeries, supermarket, charcuteries, bars, and restaurant. The house is tucked away in a quiet road (no passing traffic) with a patio/garden to the front - a suntrap for most of the day.
Off road parking for 2 cars.

The centre of Belabre is 5 mins walk over the bridge crossing the River Anglin - next to the free swimming lake (supervised in July & August). Canoes can be hired and there is a mini golf course by the river. Lanes lead from behind the house for country strolls.

 

The house has exposed beams and original fireplaces with wood-burning stoves. There is a large lounge/dining room, kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom. Two double bedrooms & upstairs shower/wc room. Garden furniture, BBQ & 2 mountain bikes.

Within the Brenne National Park - lots of marked walks, peaceful countryside, ideal for bird watching.  2 x golf courses within 40 minutes drive.  Lots to do including visits to Oradour sur Glane - left exactly as it was when Germans murdered 642 inhabitants at end of World War 11.  Valencay chateau.  Chauvigny - open air bird show in chateau.  Bellbouche & other lakes with beaches & some of the ‘prettiest villages in France’ including St Benoit, Gargilesse.
